3 September 2019 – A total of 70 professionals from the charity sector came together at the Livewire venue at Singapore Pools Building to attend a talk hosted by iShine Cloud. Themed ‘What is the Cloud and how can it help my charity’, the audience heard from guest speakers Ms Min Fang of Citrix Systems, Team Lead (APJ Entreprise Solutions Architects), and Ms Antonia Ong of Microsoft Singapore, Communications and Philanthropies Lead. The day’s programme began with an opening address by Ms Yip Yuen Fong, Executive Director of iShine Cloud.
The team at iShine Cloud saw the need for charities to better equip themselves with the knowledge to make informed decisions about adopting cloud-based IT systems and their potential benefits.
Min has 18 years of experience in the Information & Communication Technologies industry, leading the Citrix Enterprise team in the Asia Pacific region to empower organisations to accelerate their journey to the cloud, secure digital workspace and to transform their employee experience. In her presentation, Min shared the importance of intelligent workspace through the Cloud, giving the audience a better understanding of how adopting cloud-based technologies could potentially raise levels of productivity and collaboration.
Antonia strongly believes that in order to build a better and more inclusive Singapore, we need to empower communities and the non-profit sector to leverage digital innovation. Hence, one of her focus areas includes enabling digital transformation for the non-profit sector in Singapore through technology. Antonia equipped the audience with the knowledge of working smarter and driving greater impact through the Cloud.
“Today we offer a range of solutions to meet charities requirements, and we are happy to see how our services can help charities improve their productivity and efficiency in their day-to-day operations”, highlighted Yuen Fong. iShine Cloud continues to partner technology providers in expanding their suite of products to meet the needs of more charities. In their efforts to broaden their scope of services, iShine Cloud announced at the Talk that they will introduce the Donor and Volunteer Management Systems later that month.
